We have our own pricing system based on local supply and demand and how it would make sense for us.
Please understand that the prices you see in TCGPlayer and other American stores are very low simply because of their easy access to supply and lower distribution cost.
There are plenty of supply of cards in America. Imagine 2000+ stores breaking cases of your favorite set in every print run. And they enjoy the benefit of getting more supply from multiple print run for the entire "print on demand" duration of the product.
In the Philippines, we have very low supply of cards. Our country's distributor imports cards and imported cards are limited based on shipping capacity and comes with additional costs for shipping and taxes. Importing also means we almost always only get one buying opportunity. Simply put, our purchase price are way above what the American stores pay for (and way above ev of the boxes).
